BIOFLOC Philippines Fishery Inc. Is One Of The Top Five Finalists In The Piche 83rd National Convention Startup Challenge

The PIChE (Philippines Institute of Chemical Engineers) Bataan Chapter, in partnership with Bataan Peninsula State University Sinag Agri-aqua Technology Business Incubator, is invited for submissions in the second round of the PIChE Start-up Challenge. This is open to all Filipino Chemical Engineering students, graduates, and professionals. For 2022, the startup challenge focuses on agribusiness and aquaculture, green energy, and process optimization.

Biofloc Philippines Fishery, Inc. (BPFI) is led by LITHOS Manufacturing’s president, Engr. Eleanor Olegario and BPFI Founder Celedana T. Santos, along with Mr. Jay P. Nakar and Mr. Jessie Santos, are among the top five finalists of the Startup Challenge.

From July 16 to September 10, the team will participate in a Bootcamp in preparation for the Pre-Pitch Competition, which will be conducted on September 13, 2022.

Subsequently, the Final Pitch Competition will be a component of the 83rd National Convention held at the LausGroup Event Center in San Fernando, Pampanga.

The victors will receive monetary awards of P15,000, P10,000, and P5,000, for first, second, and third place, respectively. In addition, the finalists will get a chance to pitch to potential investors.

Biofloc Philippines Fishery, Inc. is the first intensive farm to implement and investigate Biofloc technology in the Philippines. The company aims to provide innovation to people interested in the aquafarming industry in the Philippines.
